NaPoWriMo April 18 Haiku catchup (9 of 12)

April 23, 2013

So that was my very productive Friday.  A total of eight Haiku.  So on with Saturday.  I was a bit tired so only wrote two.  One in the morning and one in the evening.  This one, Haiku 9 concerns a pool table and our oldest cat, Purdie.  She’s 14 and nervous, not surprisingly as she has lived her life in long suffering patience in a big rumbustious family.  She is pretty though and dotes on my wife.  However, with her being an older cat she is somewhat incontinent with the result that I usually have to tidy up after her.  Anyway we had moved our son’s table top snooker table into the dining area and came back to find Purdie fast asleep on it.  This led to the following:

Haiku 9 – Saturday 10.30am

Incontinent cat

On the snooker table. Hope

she won’t pot the brown

I accept it is an old and terrible joke, but my nine year old son thought it was hilarious.
